Miranda Coggins is the founder and CEO of The Lano Company, based in Kansas
City. She founded The Lano Company in January 2006 after learning about the
healing power of lanolin, following the birth of her daughter.
Miranda developed LanoLip Natural Mois- turizing Lip Balm’s patent-pending formula-
tion, which includes medical-grade lanolin, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E and
other healing and nurturing ingredients. She also has created unique and distinct body
care products, including massage oil can- dles and all-natural lip scrubs.
Miranda said, “I created LanoLip to bring out the natural beauty of a woman’s most
visual and sensual asset – her lips! I en- joy making products that make women feel
good about themselves both inside and out.”
The Lano Company products are distrib- uted nationally in all 50 states. Also, Miran-
da has forged an agreement with Rite Aid, a national pharmacy store, to pilot LanoLip
Lip Balm in select stores in spring 2008.
Miranda’s lip balm invention also earned her a prestigious Cosmetic Executive Wom-
en Finalist Award for best new lip care prod- uct under $14.00 in 2007.
Before founding The Lano Company, Miranda was a seasoned sales professional,
having worked as an area sales and mar- keting manager in the financial world for
over 10 years
